you’re not like your brother
‘you’re not like your brother’ is a 24-page self-observational zine about neurodivergence, childhood and domestic life, with commentary on ADHD in girls and women.
During the making of the zine, I revisited places within my childhood that I remember having an impact on my ADHD growing up, one of those places being my grandparents home. The early observational drawings I completed in the lead up to the final piece cemented the importance of sense of place and identity within my visual language.
I adapted the zine into an animation with the purpose of experimenting within my practice, whilst also considering the current needs of the ever-growing illustration industry.
